Global Connects was established in Glasgow in 1997. For over two decades, our network of professional linguists throughout the world have provided our global client base with high quality linguistic services in over 85 languages.

Our Project Management Team boasts qualified translators and language graduates who love languages. Our team knows what is needed to deliver the expert translation, interpreting & localisation services we offer and our clients deserve.

David Orr

Director

David has been the Managing Director of Global Connects since 2001 and has overseen significant growth in the business to the point where Global Connects is a UK-wide language services provider. He combines his finance experience with a passion for languages and a keen interest in enhancing social value in all the communities in which the company operates.

James Miller

Quality Manager

James has worked for Global Connects since 2001. He has an honours degree in Scots law (LL.B.) and is an IRCA-qualified internal auditor for ISO 9001 quality management. With a lifelong interest in language and communication, James has a wide range of knowledge of all aspects of language services provision.

Diana Ayobami

Translation Team Lead

Diana has over 12 years’ experience of working in the translation industry across many different sectors and roles including translator, proofreader, editor, project coordinator and project manager. Diana has a Specialist’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from N.E. Zhukovsky Kharkiv National Aerospace University, Ukraine.
