CCS logoGlobal Connects is delighted to announce that we have been successful with another major public sector tender.  This time, we have been named as a supplier on the CSS Framework Agreement for the Provision of Language Services.

The Specification for the Framework included six Lots, covering different areas/aspects of Language Services, and we bid for three of these and were successful in each case, namely:

Successful suppliers (including Global Connects) had to be able to provide tailored solutions that cover advisory services, administrative support and efficient business processes through the delivery of the any public sector buyer’s language service requirements.

LOT 2: Translation, Transcription and Ancillary Services

Customers can access the following services through this Lot:

  • Translation: The conversion of written documents into another language as text.
  • Transcription The conversion of alternative formats into written documents.
  • Ancillary Services: Additional services which support the translation/transcription service.

LOT 5K: Face to Face Interpreting Services (Scotland)

Customers can access the following services through this Lot:

  • Spoken Face to Face and Video Interpretation throughout Scotland

David Orr, Global Connects Director, said, “we are obviously very pleased to have had our tender accepted for every Lot that we entered.  It is testament to the very hard work of our team and the leadership of Fiona Woodford, our Head of Language Services, especially during this last year when the global pandemic has had such an impact on every area of businesses. I am pleased to say that despite the challenges of Covid, our language businesses have continued working successfully throughout and as such we are well placed to hit the ground running as work from this new CSS framework hits our agency.”

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

Please contact Fiona Woodford for further information on accessing any of the above services via this Framework.
