Global Connects is proud to have recently won a place on the CCS Framework (RM6141), which enables the entire UK public and third sectors to make use of our translation, transcription & interpreting services. Global Connects tendered for the following:
Lot 1: National Managed Service,
Lot 2: Translation, Transcription and Ancillary Services, and
Lot 5k: Regional Managed Service – Scotland.
We are delighted to say we were successful with our tender submission for every one of these Lots.
To give you an example of the kind of work covered by this contract, the COVID-19 pandemic has required the production of a wide range of new guidance documents by many different government departments. This is an area in which Global Connects has significant experience and we have recently worked with the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) to support the release of a number of very important public information documents.
More specifically for DHSC, we completed two 12,000-word documents in 19 languages. As well as the major foreign languages, the brief included some of the more rarely requested ones such as Gujurati, Kurdish & Nepali, but Global Connects has sufficient strength in depth that we were able to provide all 19 (involving almost 228,000 words) in only three working days! Our linguists are all highly experienced and committed translators, but they had to work around the clock, literally day and night, to get this project completed to the DHSC deadline.
This was (obviously!) a great challenge for Global Connects, but it is what we do best. Our team really thrives on being tasked to deliver urgent, important translations and the way in which they responded to the brief and then turned around the DHSC request in such a short space of time is testament to their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile.
If you have a similar requirement, speak to me or one of the Global Connects team today and we’ll be delighted to work together with you to deliver a high-quality translation service promptly and efficiently.
