At Global Connects, good working relationships are at the heart of how we deliver for our clients. From public health information to sensitive reports, we focus on producing accurate, well‑formatted translations that deliver messages clearly and effectively.
Being translation project managers means being great team players and competent solo artists. Working independently, we prepare files, monitor progress and check quality. As a team, we consider the big picture, refine processes and have each other’s backs.
By investing in our working relationships, we are able to welcome others to work with us and learn from our experience. Students always report feeling comfortable and well-looked after by the translations team, giving them a solid foundation as they get a taste of the industry.
We also know that strong teams don’t just happen in the office. We regularly provide opportunities for staff to connect outside of our day-to-day work. Not only does this improve how we work together, but also helps us to relax in fun ways and experience things we might not try otherwise. This year, we’ve organised two escape room activities to give staff opportunities to work together towards a different shared goal. Successfully completing the rooms in under 45 minutes, we certainly strengthened our bond with great memories to boot. All of our staff would do an escape room again and are already looking forward to the next one!
